C.H. Mohammed Koya was the tenth chief minister of Kerala. He served as speaker of Kerala legislative assembly and various portfolio in cabinet. He has also served as Kerala speaker and Education minister. As education minister he was instrumental in formulating many plans to bring Kerala as one of the most educationally forward states of India. Now Kerala is No. 1 state of India in terms of literacy and Koya was one among those successful leaders who made Kerala intellectually the best.C.H. Mohammed Koya is still the beacon light and the source of inspiration to the masses in Kerala and so will be in the years to come. C.H. Mohammed Koya Memorial Charitable Centre popularly known as C.H. Centre is named after him.

Panakad Syed Muhammadali Shihab Thangal was born as the eldest son of Panakkad Sayd Ahmad Pookoya Thangal, who was a renowned Islamic leader and spiritual icon of Kerala. ShihabThangl was appointed as the president of the Kerala state committee of Indian Union Muslim League in 1975 and remained president until his death in 2009. He was a very influential leader of the Muslim community in Kerala and was Qazi to hundreds of Mahals in Kerala. He pursued advanced religious studies at Thalakkadathur and Kananchery Dars under Ponmala Moideen Musliyar. He then did his master’s degree in Arabic literature from Al Azhar University, Egypt in 1961.

The late K V Muhammad kunji mater was a prominent figure in CH Centre in Thaliparamba, serving as president of CH center and general secretary of CDMEA. He was involved in management committee OF Sir Syed College. He also held key roles in state politics as state vice president of the Indian union Muslim League. As an educationalist and social worker, he tirelessly contributed to the betterment of education and society, living a lasting impact on the community through various institution and organization. His legacy continues to inspire m any beyond his passing on December 20 th 2017.
